(More customer reviews)This was my 2nd K40 whip. The 1st 1 broke in the car wash. My fault, I should have taken it off. I used to have a K30 magnet mount and loved it. The cable began to fray from removing it from the roof to go through car washes, garages and having to move it when hauling our truck camper. I made the decision to purchase a fender mount and install it on my F250 Super Duty. I have fantastic reception and it is out of the way. Just remember to unscrew the whip from the base before going into a car wash with spinning brushes.
