(More customer reviews)I thought I was taking a chance on this product when I found it at a Black and Decker Outlet store in Michigan. I figured mine is getting old and I should get a spare.
However, I soon found that I had gotten very lucky for $40. This tool seems fool-proof (I should know) and does seem to be pretty automatic as stated. As soon as the battery is charged it will reduce the charging amperage on its own. I have not even used all the options yet, but the battery reconditioning function is pretty cool--I've saved one so far that I would have otherwise replaced. Also, the cable storage makes it nice and tidy on the shelf. Remember that to perform a jump-start a car, though, it will only perform the task a few times, then needs four or five minutes to 'recharge' in order to do the jump-start again.

Like the first one, this is just as tough as the first and sports features that allow you to securly hold your cup or drink can in place during rides.
The Ram Cup Holder, unlike others is removable when not being used leaving behind the small ball mount that is attached by a u-bolt to the handle bars.
The u-bolt of this model can fit up to one inch in diameter bars.

Rugged Ridge 63309.01 ATV/UTV Clinometer with Compass Review

The second one I received had the EXACT same issue. It's also much smaller than it appears in the pictures. Needless to say I'll be looking for something different. This is not a quality product.

(More customer reviews)I bought a Coga PA about one year ago and I love it. Out of all the toys and gadgets i have purchased over the years this is my favorite and most used.
The only bad thing about this product is the speaker that comes with it,which is not nearly loud enough. After a few days, I went to Radio Shack and bet a much louder speaker/horn.
Me (and my passengers) are most satisfied buy the reaction of pedestrians when talking to them. Most people are either startled, think its funny, or get upset and flip me off.
All in all this is great gadget to have in your vehicle. Im still not sure why everbody doesnt have one of these.

Motocomm Magnum F14 Open-Face Communicator Headset - MC-753/-- Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased a Motocomm headset in August and have logged a few thousand miles of use. I use the system with a motorcycle CB radio and have the headset mounted in a Scorpion EXO-100 half-helmet. The speakers are fairly large on this headset, and they fit tightly into the holders provided in the EXO-100 helmet. The wire was easy to conceal in the helmet's zip liner. The microphone attaches to the helmet using adhesive Velcro disks. The speakers and microphone attach to the wire harness using small two pin plugs. The plugs are fragile, and care must be taken to avoid breaking them when tucking them into the crevices of the helmet. I broke the microphone plug and fixed that with telephone splice connectors. The microphone boom eventually broke from being flexed many times. Motocomm replaced the microphone and helmet wiring harness without any expense to me or requiring me to return parts. Excellent customer service. I was also informed the new microphone boom is re-designed and the new part will not break.
Once setup the wiring is easy to manage. The set comes with two coiled extension, and I only need one of those. The push to talk button wraps around the left handlebar grip and places the button in a good location to avoid having to move hands from the driving position. The speakers have very good sound quality, and the whole unit is easily detached at stops using the DIN plugs. A flat surface and arrow on the plug body makes alignment easier for re-attachment, but it still requires a precise fit to avoid damaging the pins. The microphone picks up considerable wind noise if the rider uses a half-helmet or lacks a fairing. Sheltering the microphone from wind-blast, or using a modular or full helmet improves transmission sound quality.
Overall the headset is very flexible and works well. Less expensive headsets are essentially disposable, but Motocomm backs up their product to keep it in service, and representatives are courteous knowledgeable and helpful. I recommend this product.

J&M JMCB-2003 Audio System - JMCB-2003-DU for Driver/Passenger Headset Operation JMCB-2003-DU Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased the JMCB2003DU a few months ago. Since the dealer wanted four hours of labor to install, I decided to install it myself. Six hours later, it was installed and worked well, but I wished I had gone the expense of having the dealer install the device.
We hook in our Garmin Nuvi 350 for both GPS and music capabilities. Sound quality is dependant on your headset. On my half helmet the stereo is tinny, but with my Nolan N-42 the sound is as good as any stereo headset I use. So I am pleased with the stereo function.
The intercom was the main reason we bought this unit, and it does a fantastic job. The intercom is on all the time, and while I thought that I would not like that, it turns out we love the always on intercom. Again, the sound quality is dependant on your helmet headset. With a full visor there is very little wind noise, and even with a half helmet you can communicate effectively up to about 70 MPH. Past that you can still communicate, but the half helmet headset gets a little difficult from windnoise.
The CB is a great addition as well. CB is not as popular as it once was, but I rode down Arizona's beeline highway talking with a trucker recently. The range was effectively 3-5 miles and the trucker kept commenting on how surprised he was that the CB was so clear on a bike. more than once he questioned me about being on a bike. Finally I pulled in front of him and waved and then talked. He claimed the sound was a clear and wind-noise free as any CB he used. That was from a Nolan N-42 helmet with a full visor and the upgraded J&M headset.
I would buy this unit again, and recommend it highly. My wife, who does not enjoy gadgets, enjoys being able to communicate on the bike now.
